AMA Women & Motorcycling Conference

AMA Women & Motorcycling Conference

I'll be going to the conference on Tuesday, arriving early (starts Thursday) to set up the Gear Shop in the Marketplace.

The organizers have worked hard to put together sponsors for the gear shop that will help me help you! You can find me there all weekend, helping you get dressed. Unfortunately I won't be doing any seminars, but I will be handing out my shopping tips and give you all the free advice you want/need in the gear shop.

Sponsors haven't been announced yet, but I'll post on twitter/facebook as soon as I can.

Hope to see you there!

Anti Fog for your Motorcycle Helmet Visor

antifog motorcycle helmet visor spray

Looking for an antifog solution for your visor? I know not everyone (like my husband) is a fan of the Pinlock System like I am.

Or, you may have a helmet that doesn't offer a Pinlock Visor system. Recently, we discovered Clarity De Fog It drops, which work on glasses, visors, masks, virtually any lens surface.

I used a couple drops on my sunglasses, since for me, that's the only thing I can't seem to keep from fogging up in the helmet. Otherwise, the Pinlock is the only other system I've ever used that actually works in my helmet.

You can buy it directly from their website, and it comes in both drops and dry cloths. Just make sure you fully clean your visor before applying it. Generally speaking, water and a microfiber towel is all you need to clean your visor. The less chemicals on the surface of your visor, the better.

I haven't used the Clarity solution on my helmet visor, since I don't need to, but it seems to work well (per the husband).

News segment on local CBS about women and riding

Earlier this week, my friend Aleks and I were contacted through our meetup group, Bay Area Moto Girls, by KPIX/CBS local news to do a news segment about the growing numbers of women riding motorcycles.

I gathered about a dozen friends who ride and we met up with everyone at the Moto Shop, where they interviewed us about why we ride, and what we ride. Unfortunately it was a really short and sweet segment, but hopefully people get the idea :)
