Favorite Black Friday Motorcycle Deals for Women

It’s Black Friday Weekend.

So here’s a few of my favorite deals to check out:

Dainese Women’s Closeouts

Suits and boots for your next track day, or extra safe street riding. My current Dainese Torque track boots that I wear everywhere are on closeout too.

Sale prices vary up to 35% Off Retail

Allllllll The Leather……

Revit Tornado 2 Jacket and Pants

Regularly $349.95 (jacket) $359.95 (pants), Now $249.95 (29-31% Off)

Since the Tornado also has a removable liner, it runs a bit looser than the next one. So remember that fit should work with and without liners, but think about how often you’ll wear the liner.

Sizing for Rev’it can also be a little wonky so message me if you need help sizing as Revit doesn’t provide a hip measurement on their size charts. Rev’it pants fit the most generous across almost all Euro brands (Rukka, Alpinestars, Dainese, Revit) that I’ve seen.

Revit Arc Air Mesh Jacket

Regularly $249.99 Now $229.99 (10% off)

This weekend only, Revit is up to 15% Off All Regular priced items for men and women.

I’m wearing a Euro 38 because this jacket runs tighter than it’s sister the Airwave (which is also on crazy sale)

The Arc Air is much sportier, tighter in the waist/bust/shoulders everywhere, so I had to size up from a Euro 36 which I normally wear in Rev’it.

This one doesn’t have a liner and has a lot of mesh for max airflow, so you really want to reserve it for hot, hot, hot weather riding.

I bought this one just to wear in the middle of summer, to and from work for my short commute or around town.

Olympia Airglide 5 Jacket

Reg. $289.95, Now $169.99 (41% Off)

The Airglide has been in Olympia’s lineup for years, hopefully we’ll see a 6th version come out with some nice updates to design and armor so it reduces the shoulder and elbow profiles for more comfort.

This jacket runs really, really generous so let me know if you need help sizing.

Diane (left) fits well in one with her apple shape.

Arai DT-X Helmet

Regularly $589-$739, Now $399 (32% off)

This one isn’t for women only, but anyone looking for what I call a Unicorn Intermediate Oval.

For the intermediate oval folks out there who need a little more room from ear to ear than say Shoei, but aren’t necessarily looking for a round oval helmet. Arais are also the most comfortable when you need more room for your cheeks/face but need a tighter oval for the crown of your head.

If you’re not sure what any of this means, then check out the latest episode of my podcast which covers helmet fit tips.

Sidi Vertigo 2 Lei

Rukka Toughtrail GTX Jacket

Regularly $799.99 Now $599.99 (25% off)

Rukka is one of those funky brands that offer a niche product for women. The Toughtrail is an adventure style, multiseason jacket that offers a removable GoreTex rain jacket. So you will have to supply your own warmth. But if you’re looking for a lightweight coat that isn’t necessarily mesh and an optional waterproof/windproof liner for Spring/Summer/Fall riding, this jacket is perfect. As far as fitment, you’ll find a roomy shoulder/chest compared to the Italians (Dainese, Alpinestars, Spidi) and even Rev’it.

There’s also a matching pant to get you fully suited up, which is also 25% off!

(Fit Profile: Hourglass)

As always, I’m here for you if you need more personalized suggestions. Just drop me an email or chat me on social media (@gearchic everywhere) !

For Sale: Used Womens Premium Riding Jeans, Size 2/4

UPDATE JAN. 9, 2020: Blue SOLD

Both of these jeans are roughly a Dress Size 2-4, 30 Waist/XS/SM.

So I have two pairs of Worse for Wear Riding Jeans for sale, which unfortunately are no longer available.

The company shut down last year, but I have two pairs that I know someone else could use more than me right now.

Unfortunately, I broke my foot (walking down stairs) last week and I won’t be riding for 4-6 weeks anyhow. But I also grew out of one pair and am not riding enough to need the second pair.

I’ll revisit riding jeans next Spring, but for now I know someone else could really use an excellent pair of riding jeans.

One pair is blue and one pair is black. Full descriptions and photos below.

The photo on the right is of me wearing the blue pair when I first bought them. They fit so well, but then my waist decided to grow a few inches and they simply became too uncomfortable to wear.

WORSE FOR WEAR JEANS #2, BLACK, 30 WAIST x 32 INSEAM:

Price: $150 (retail was ~$395) + shipping

Condition: Pre-owned, barely worn, never crashed

Worse For Wear Womens Riding Jeans 30x28

Gently Used.

Condition is Pre-owned, never Crashed

  • Size: ~US 2-4

  • Color: Black

  • Measured waist of the garment: 30". These are a little looser in the waist and hips than the blue ones, and should fit up to a 33” true belly/waist and 37.5” hip. These are also looser in the calves by a good inch.

  • Inseam: 32" (easily hemmable by a good tailor)

  • Materials: 100% Armalith. It's one of the most abrasion resistant jeans for women, same material as these Rokker Women’s Jeans.

  • SINGLE LAYER construction; that means the entire jean is constructed of Armalith, instead of cheap riding jeans with Denim + a Second Layer of Kevlar or similar material

  • Seam strength and construction is reinforced along the outseams on the knees and hip pockets

  • Hip and Knee Protector pockets:  Knee and Hip armor included for FREE, I'll happily include whichever you prefer (thinner knees or thicker knees). You'll just have to add a strip of velcro to the back of whichever knee armor you want and then you can position it on the inside of the pocket as high or low as you need it! Brilliant, eh?

  • Waist is Medium to High Rise

  • Leg line is slim BELOW the knee, but just barely fit over a pair of Dainese Torque Out Women’s Boots. But they will go over sneakers and casual shoes

  • Please feel free to email me any other questions you may have

Accessible via the Dainese website, the brand-new 3D configurator allows each motorcyclist to personalize his/her leather suit, jacket or pants in real time, with a simple, engaging and interactive digital experience. The customer can see a preview of the garment, change the colors of the various parts, select accessories (plates, sliders), and upload words and images that are immediately visible on the 3D garment.

Special consideration is also given to the customer's specific needs and the expected use of the product. At the Store, customers can actually touch the technology, materials, finishes and accessories that give life to the most advanced Grand Prix leather suits and that are also used to create the customized garment.

With Custom Works, every customer can wear an absolutely unique Dainese garment.

When I clicked on the configurator to see what options were available for women, I found two track suits:

  1. Laguna Seca 4 $1299 - more aggressive race fit, more stretch panels and tighter overall
  2. Avro - $999, relaxed fit, not a full race cut

If I chose a custom design/color, it was an additional $629. After that, I could pick a custom shoulder slider which is available in fun colors ($47.95) or the flag of your choice for an additional $94.95. These are all costs in addition to the MSRP of $1299.

Lastly, there's the additional cost for a fully custom size. Just an additional $795. Generally you'll spend anywhere from $1500-$2000 for a great custom suit anyhow.

Screen Shot 2018-04-25 at 9.19.02 PM.png

Currently there aren't any separates option for women. But there aren't many for men either, just one jacket (Racing D1) and no pants.

If you're interested in setting up an appointment, Click Here to visit the configurator and submit a request.  The closest location to Philadelphia is the Dainese New York store.

Happy Track Day'ng!
