Episode 4: Riding Jeans GearChic.com

In this episode, I’m going to give you a broad overview of what to look for, why your regular jeans aren’t good enough, and what riding jeans aren’t good for.

Unfortunately my favorite brand of riding jeans (Worse for Wear) is no longer in business so I can’t recommend them anymore. But I can recommend a few others. But I do recommend listening to the interview that I did with the founder who gave me a lot of great information about what to look for in your jeans and why they’re so different from what’s already hanging in your closet.

Something I forgot to touch on in this episode is riding leggings. Which have the same basic protection as many riding jeans. A few styles I recommend:

  • Alpinestars Banshee Leggings; waist runs small with a roomy hip; so ideal for women with smaller waists and larger hips/bottoms (e.g. measured waist is 30”, measured hips are 40”)

  • Oxford Super Leggings; waist runs big; ideal for women with larger waist and hips (e.g. measured waist is 40”, measured hips are 46”)

  • GoGo Gear
